Project Life

Hello!

I was recently inspired by a video I watched on YouTube by Louise (sprinkle of glitter) about her New Years resolutions. In the video she spoke briefly about 'Project Life' and as soon as she explained it I knew I had to have it! Basically isn't is scrap booking but really simplified. I did some research and watched many more videos, to the point where I couldn't hold off any longer - I needed it now!

If I was to describe myself in three words it would be creative, enthusiastic and impatient. I'm not very good at waiting for things at all! So here are the things I got today from my local hobby craft. Now it was slim pickings as I think others may have had the same idea!

I got a binder, a blush core pack, some platic wallets in design D I think (I wanted A but they didn't have any) and finally a wedding card pack. I got married in October last year and thought it would be a lovely way to make an album with a bit more personality.

Hopefully I'll be super creative and it will look as good as the ones I have seen online! I will post again once I have started.

Bye for now!

Back to School

Hello!

Just a short one today! So today was back to school after the Christmas holidays and as I have mentioned before I am a teacher. I teach 31 five and six year olds and I love it! Of course I have my down days and my fabby days. Today was a fabby day, even though I had 2 people observing my Phonics lesson and my masters assignment due in! The children worked really hard and reminded me how much is missed them in the holidays. Do you love your job? Would you like some teaching tips and tricks on this blog? Let me know!

Bye for now!

Nutella Cheesecake

Hello!

So as promised here is a post about my Nutella cheesecake I made for a dinner party with friends. I used Cookies, Cupcakes and Cardio's recipe for an Oreo and Nutella cheesecake but instead of splitting the mixture and adding Oreos I doubled the amount of Nutella I used. Simple enough really.

I had to take this picture to show you the buttery biscuit base didn't I? I'm sure practically everyone has seen the master chef remix!

Not that smooth but I'm still in cheesecake levelling school - the basics, so I didn't think it was too bad!

I decided it looked a bit boring and needed dressing up for the occasion, that being said I melted some more Nutella in the microwave (well as much as you can melt Nutella ha!) and dolloped it on top. I then ran a bamboo skewer through it to make little Chocolate Nutella Hearts, yum!

Here is a link to the recipe I followed, the video is really good too I followed it the first time I made one of these cheesecakes :)

The Girl Behind the Mascara!

Hello!

I realised after reading my friends blog that I haven't introduced myself. I am Sarah, I'm a 25 year old married teacher. I work a lot, a lot a lot. I'm hoping that this blog is going to give me a little escape from my job, which is something all teachers need, who's with me? School is busy and being a new school there is a lot to be done but I love it, working with young children is super rewarding and the children are hilarious!

Baking is my escape, I'll make anything for anyone, because believe it or not I don't have that much of a sweet tooth myself, crazy I know. I get most of my recipes from Pinterest or make them up or change ones I know. Today I made a Nutella cheesecake by altering a much loved Cookies, Cupcakes and Cardio recipe (post on that to follow).

So that's all for now, but if you want to know any more just ask!

Bye for now!

Lush Shampoo Bar - First Thoughts Review

Hello!

So as I said in my previous posts I am firmly on the Lush bandwagon, so much so I'm practically driving! I do have a bit of an obsessive personality and once I find I like something I stick with it for quite a while. After being drawn in by the wonder that was all the Christmas products I decided to try some of the permanent line (and also some of the things you don't need a bath for!). I went with a sweetie pie shower jelly and Jason and the argan oil shampoo bar. I have been wanting to try a shampoo bar for quite a while, but last time I attempted to buy one I did not like any of the smells. When I went into Lush to grab a shower jelly I thought I'd give them another sniff, much to my delight they have brought out a few new bars since I looked last. I decided on the Jason and the argan oil bar due to the smell and moisturising properties.
The shampoo bar is a lovely pink and smells really good. Although my sister does not agree so I do think it's a personal thing.

I also bought a tin to keep the bar in so that it wasn't sliding about in the shower.

Now I think I should say that I have never used a solid shampoo bar until today. I was impressed with the size and how little space it takes up in my shower and the tiniest bathroom known to man! They are easy to use and with a little blogging research I knew what to do. The shampoo bar created more lather than I was expecting, so that was really good. My hair did feel a little dry after I rinsed but this was soon fixed when I used my usual L'oreal Everstrong conditioner. I liked this bar and I will continue to use it and see how I get on, who knows I might just be converted!

Bye for now!
